The Book of Psalms

The Psalms are the sacred hymns of the Jewish People. In them, we learn the manner and form of worshipping God.

But more than that, we find that a lot of the Psalms carry Messianic Prophecies. For the person and work of Christ is found in the text, if one gleans through the Psalms with a discerning eye.

They have been a source of comfort for ages to many believers and, when one is at a loss for words on how or what to pray, there is almost always a Psalm available for any occasion or predicament in life from disaster to praise. God has not only told us to pray to Him and to praise Him, but in the book of Psalms, he has given us the manner and method of how to do prayer and praise.
